The Conference at the International Arena
ACEX Drive team arranged the eventful week of the International Conference in Baku. The conference was attended by delegates from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, UAE, India, Estonia, USA, South Korea and Russia.
During the 4 days of the official program, the participants held bilateral talks, where they discussed their capabilities, cargo delivery through Azerbaijan, the use of Iran in logistics, new logistics directions and routes. The speakers presented the latest news in the logistics sector, such as: the use of free economic zones, cargo delivery by rail from Europe, by sea through Turkey and the port of Novorossiysk, new opportunities for air delivery.
Besides, the CEOs of logistics companies from around the world met with Elshad Nuriyev, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones and Emil Medzhidov, Adviser to the Minister of Economy. The meeting discussed the establishment of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in the field of industrial parks, the possibilities of membership of industrial parks in the International Association of Special Economic Zones FEMOZA, as well as the creation of a single electronic database within the framework of membership in the Association. Participants from Iran and the UAE also showed interest.
During the business program, the delegates visited the Industrial Park in Sumgait, the ALCO oil plant and the Buta Group tomato greenhouse complex. During the excursion day, the conference participants got acquainted with the history and traditions of the oldest city of the Caucasus on the coast of the Caspian Sea – Baku. They visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, the Old City, the Maiden Tower, saw a place from the movie "The Diamond Hand".
Thus, in difficult conditions and in a period of all kinds of restrictions, the 6th ACEX Conference was successful and at a high level!
